What is hydrodilatation?

Hydrodilatation is an injection used for Frozen Shoulder.  It involves injecting high volume fluid (usually saline, local anesthetic and a low dose cortisone).  This distends the shoulder ligaments (capsule) to help break up scar tissue and to improve mobility and pain.
